Canoe Inc.: Dominique-Sebastien Forest Appointed General Manager of Digital Content and E-commerce

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Aug. 14, 2007) - The directors of Canoe Inc. are pleased to announce the appointment of Dominique-Sebastien Forest as General Manager of Digital Content and E-commerce. Mr. Forest, who has a master's degree in Marketing Innovations in High Technology, joined Canoe in December 2006, acting as Director of Digital Content. In this capacity, he has been responsible for creating distribution strategies for multiplatform digital content and wireless products. In his new position, Mr. Forest will continue working in these areas and take on responsibility for all Quebecor Media e-commerce sites.

Mr. Forest has spent the last few months establishing the new Canoe.ca online video platform, which has become the Canadian leader by offering more videos than any other site, and the best resolution, transfer speed and compatibility.

Prior to his work at Canoe Inc., Mr. Forest was Vice President of Business Development at Puretracks, the leading developer of online music platforms in North America. His entrepreneurial skills are evidenced by his past experience, which includes working as an editor at MSN.ca, founding Creative Research and Technology, the first Canadian company to specialize in creating video games for advertising purposes (advergaming), and acting as Marketing Director at Insight.com.
