NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - October 21, 2015) - B&H is pleased to share the announcement of the newest printer from Canon, the PIXMA PRO-1000, the largest printer in the PIXMA PRO line. Producing up to 17 x 22" borderless prints at a maximum resolution of 2400 x 1200 dpi using 12 inks, the PRO-1000 delivers sharp, colorful images. FINE printing technology (Full-Photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) combines with 1,536 nozzles per color to produce impressively detailed prints on a variety of fine-art papers, with deep blacks and accurate colors.
The print cartridges consist of 11 colors, four of which are monochromatic, and one Chroma Optimizer cartridge to improve color consistency on coated papers and reduce the difference in ink-droplet height to ensure a smooth ink layer. The pigment-based LUCIA PRO ink technology produces prints which, when stored properly, can have a lifespan of up to 200 years.

The PRO-1000 can print a bordered 17 x 22" print in 4 minutes and 10 seconds, and a rear manual feed slot accepts paper up to 0.7mm thick and up to 23.4" long. Ethernet and wireless connections provide you with a variety of options for printing from different sources, and permit multiple users to print from networked computers.
Replacement ink cartridges hold 80 ml of ink, and are available separately in blue, cyan, gray, magenta, matte black, photo black, photo cyan, photo gray, photo magenta, red, and yellow. Also available is the chroma optimizer and the maintenance cartridge.
