Canoro Announces Board and Management Changes

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - Sept. 15, 2005) - At Canoro Resources Ltd.'s (TSX VENTURE:CNS) Annual General and Special Meeting held on September 13, 2005, all resolutions put forward for voting by shareholders were approved. All returning Directors were re-elected, along with Jeff Clarke as a new Director. In addition, at the Board meeting following the Annual General and Special Meeting, the Board of Directors appointed John Boyd as a sixth Director. The Directors are pleased to welcome Jeff and John to the Board.

Jeff Clarke has over 35 years of international oil and gas experience as a Geophysicist, holding increasingly senior technical and executive positions. Jeff is currently the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Carpenter Pacific Resources Limited, an Australian public company listed on the Australian stock exchange.

John Boyd is President of Boyd Exploration Consultants Ltd., a seismic and geophysical consulting company that he started in 1977. John graduated from the University of Toronto with a B.A.Sc in Geophysics. His projects in recent years have involved many 2-D and 3-D exploration and development interpretations in western Canada and internationally. John is a past-President of the Canadian Society of Exploration Geophysicists and a past-Councillor of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists, Alberta. John is also a past-Director of Paloma Petroleum Ltd.

Steve Nerland retired as a Director at the conclusion of the Annual General and Special Meeting. The Board acknowledges his services and thanks Steve for his contribution as a Director over the last three years. The Board is also pleased to announce that effective September 13, 2005, Steve has been appointed to the position of Country Manager - India for Canoro. In his new role, Steve will be based in India and responsible for coordinating and managing all of Canoro's operations in India. Steve has over 30 years' experience in the oil and gas industry, and has been responsible for managing operations and business development activities in Canada, Russia, Indonesia and France.

Canoro is a Canadian-based international oil and gas company operating a development and an exploration block in the prolific Assam/Arakan basin of northeast India. The Company is testing and rehabilitating production from the suspended Amguri oil and gas field where it is the operator and has a 60% working interest. Canoro is drilling its first exploration well on the AA-ON/7 exploration block where it is the operator and has a 65% working interest. Common shares of Canoro trade on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol 'CNS'.
