Cantronic Systems' Infrared Imaging Technology Garners Top Honors

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - June 2, 2005) - Cantronic Systems Inc. (TSX VENTURE:CTS) -

Earns 2005 Technology Impact Awards "Best Application of Technology" Finalist Recognition

Seeing things that people can't see, this infrared imaging technology offered by Cantronic System Inc.'s earned the company finalist status in this year's Technology Impact Awards "Best Application of Technology" category that recognizes innovative uses of advanced technology. Cantronic Systems Inc. manufactures infrared thermal imaging and active infrared CCTV night vision camera systems.

A program of the British Columbia Technology Industries Association (BC TIA), the Technology Impact Awards promotes and celebrates innovation and hi-tech excellence in the province of British Columbia. Originating in 1994, the Awards have gained the reputation as the mark of distinction, outstanding leadership, innovation and technological excellence.

Cantronic Systems' infrared imaging technology enables companies and organizations to:

- Protect strategic assets through long-range and night vision surveillance;

- Protect people by watching for carriers of SARS and other fever-borne illnesses;

- Prevent equipment malfunctions by monitoring equipment for early detection of wear and deterioration.

Cantronic prides itself on being a nimble company, able to react quickly to new emerging markets. In the wake of the SARS pandemic, Cantronic altered its existing equipment to create a product that could sift out potential SARS carriers. The product was shipping within a few weeks and is now installed globally to mass screen for fever-borne illnesses such as SARS and Avian flu. The equipment is even specialized enough to differentiate between a high fever and a localized headache.

What makes Cantronic Systems unique is their innovative and proprietary infrared illumination system. Cantronic delivers a product that uses approximately one-third of the wattage of its competitors, with twice the range of viewing and over 10,000 hours of operational usage. Plus, its low production costs enable them to create a superior quality product that is also inexpensive.

A panel consisting of 12 representatives from the technology, Venture Capital, Legal, Accounting, Government and Education community of British Columbia judges the Technology Impact Award entries. Almost 1,000 participants are anticipated to attend the 2005 Award Gala on June 8, 2005. For more information visit
