Capcom Mobile Releases Mr. Bill Game for iPhone and iPod touch

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - September 23, 2010) -  Capcom®, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, has released an iPhone and iPod touch game based on the iconic late night character, Mr. Bill. Players attempt to guide the accident-prone clay character through a series of disaster-filled jobs run by his nemesis Sluggo.

Trying out as a human cannonball for Sluggo Big-Time Circus, you'll launch Mr. Bill through two hazardous occupations and dozens of fun-filled levels. After being shot from the cannon, players control Mr. Bill's altitude by tapping the screen, causing Mr. Bill to flap his arms. Your goal is to help him stay aloft until he reaches his destination by bouncing off trampolines, dangling from balloons and getting shot into the air by trained seals while avoiding all manner of treacherous obstacles.

The game will launch with 28 missions spread across two environments plus 2 endless high-score challenge levels. Additional levels and misadventures are planned in future free updates, with the first, "Mr. Bill vs. Zombies," scheduled for Halloween.

Mr. Bill is available on the Apple App Store for a limited time launch price of $.99. For more information, visit the Capcom official press site at www.press.capcom.com or to download the game visit www.capcommobile.com/iphone.

About Mr. Bill
Mr. Bill first appeared on Saturday Night Live on February 28, 1976 as a short subject film after creator Walter Williams sent SNL a Super-8 reel featuring the character in response to the show's request for home movies. The character became an overnight icon and Mr. Bill appeared in more than 20 additional sketches from 1978 through 1980. Each Mr. Bill episode would start innocently enough but would quickly turn dangerous for Mr. Bill. Along with his dog, Spot, he would suffer various indignities inflicted by "Mr. Hands," a man seen only as a pair of hands. Sometimes the abuse would come from the mean Mr. Sluggo, another clay character. The violence would inevitably escalate, generally ending with Mr. Bill being crushed or dismembered while squealing "Ohhhh noooooooooooooo..." in a high-pitched voiced.
