Capilano Mall Launches Faux Fabulous Spring Shopping Campaign

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - April 23, 2014) - To get Vancouverites geared up for spring, Capilano Mall (935 Marine Drive, North Vancouver, BC) launched their Faux Fabulous Shopping Campaign on April 1^st showing shoppers that you don't have to break the bank with designer labels to look effortless and on-trend for the season. Campaign elements include a faux fab social media contest, charity clothing drive, and fashion show event on April 26^th 2014.

As part of the campaign, fashion savvy Vancouverites are invited to take a selfie dressed in the latest spring styles and trends between now and April 30th and post it to their personal Instagram, Twitter, Facebook or Pinterest accounts with the hashtag #fauxfab. Capilano Mall wants to see your best celebrity inspired looks for less, personal trendsetting and spring style on a budget. Ten individuals will be selected and given the chance to win one of many great prizes including a $100.00 gift card, a Michael Kors watch and Pandora bracelet. As a bonus, shoppers who spend over $100.00 at Capilano Mall between now and April 30^th will receive a faux fabulous pearl bracelet.

As an ongoing initiative to be active and charitable within the North Vancouver community, Capilano Mall is also inviting customers to drop off their gently used faux fab clothing items, shoes and accessories in support of the North Shore Crisis Services Society - Good Stuff Connection program which helps support women who have come from abusive relationships and are looking for a fresh start. The North Shore Crisis Services Society is a registered charity that has been providing safe shelter and support services to abused women and their children since 1979. NSCSS operates SAGE Transition House and HOPE's Place Second Stage Housing Program as well as outreach services to children who witness abuse program and the Good Stuff Connection Clothing Program and Thrift Store.

On April 26^th at 2pm in the Grant Court Capilano Mall will be holding a very special fashion show. The mall will also be offering VIP gift bags to the first 100 guests and prizes will be awarded to anyone who uses the hashtag #fauxfab.
