Capsule Releases Nurse Story Contest Honoring Nurses Week

Prizes Include $2500 for Nurse's Organization and Luncheon in Celebration of Nurses Week 2011

ANDOVER, MA--(Marketwire - January 11, 2011) - Capsule (, the leading provider of medical device connectivity, announced today that it has released its Nurse Story Contest based on the premise that busy nurses wish they had more time for patient care activities.

Nurses are increasingly finding themselves performing more administrative tasks than ever before, leaving little time for the care they would like to provide for their patients. By visiting Capsule's homepage, all nurses in the United States are encouraged to share their thoughts, opinions, and ideas in a short story in which they can remember wishing they had more time for patient care and what it is they would have done if they had that time recovered.

Entries for the "Wish I Had More Time To..." contest are accepted in various formats including audio, video, and written format. Various examples can be seen on the Contest website. And, in appreciation for these stories, Capsule is offering many prizes including $2,500 to the nurse or hospital's charity of choice, a luncheon in celebration of Nurses Week, and a subscription to the American Journal of Nursing. The winning nurse will also have his/her own nurse avatar and animated cartoon created featuring the winning story, similar to Capsule's YouTube video, "Capturing Vitals," starring Nurse Sue.

When all of the entries have been accepted just before Nurses Week (May 6-12th), the Top 10 Stories chosen by a panel of nurses will be posted on Capsule's Facebook page. Then, Capsule's Facebook fans will have the opportunity to log on and vote for their favorite stories. The story with the most likes at the end of the month will be deemed the Grand Prize Winner and recipient of the many prizes included. The announcement will take place during Nurses Week. To learn more, read the official contest rules here.
