Carbon Finance Intel Celebrates the World Environment Day by Developing a Partnership With the World Green Exchange

MONTREAL, CANADA--(Marketwire - June 5, 2009) -

Carbon Finance Intel, a specialized firm in environmental finance, is pleased to announce the development of a new channel partnership with the World Energy, (NASDAQ:XWES)(TSX:XWE), which owns and operates the World Green Exchange®.

"We are very pleased to offer our customers the services of the World Green Exchange, which allows easy access to a large number of potential buyers" says Simon Lanoie, President and CEO of Carbon Finance Intel.

"We help companies and firms that wish to become involved in the carbon market, through all the steps leading to the monetization of their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction. Our association with the World Green Exchange will help accelerate the conclusion of carbon credits transactions."

Carbon Finance Intel provides the necessary assistance to the origination of carbon credits under the voluntary market and the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM).

"We now see a momentum in North America, a clear direction toward the establishment of a regulated market, similar to the European market (EU ETS). The next years promise important progress in the fight against climate change," says Mr. Lanoie.

The green energy marketplace offers distinct opportunities in Canada, in the United States and in the rest of the world, encompassing green power, renewable energy certificates (RECs), voluntary emission reductions (VERs) and greenhouse gas emissions credits (CERs). World Energy's World Green Exchange creates a trusted and transparent marketplace for the buying, selling, and trading of renewable energy and environmental commodities.

"We look forward to working with Carbon Finance Intel to help its clients monetize their carbon projects on the World Green Exchange®," said Kenneth Ivanic, Vice President of Environmental Markets at World Energy.

"We view Canada's growing carbon market as an important source of supply for North American and global buyers and are pleased to be working with Carbon Finance Intel in this strategic geography."
