Carbon Sciences' CEO Featured on FOX Business Network

Company to Join With Strategic Partners to Build a Plant to Produce "Cleaner" Gasoline From Natural Gas

SANTA BARBARA, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 21, 2012) - Carbon Sciences Inc. (OTCBB: CABN), provider of a complete solution for transforming abundant and affordable natural gas into gasoline that burns cleaner than petroleum-based gasoline, today announced its president and CEO, Byron Elton was featured Thursday, August 16 on the highly rated FOX Business Network program "After the Bell."

Speaking about the recent announcement to bring together strategic partners to form the first natural gas to gasoline plant on U.S. soil, Elton explained how this project would move the U.S. toward much needed energy security and create a model for other such plants to be built in the future.

"Building a plant in the U.S. that converts natural gas to an engine-ready petroleum replacement is an important step toward energy independence," said Elton. "Natural gas is abundant, inexpensive and it's ours. This plant will send the message that we can successfully create jobs and gain energy security for the country."

A natural gas to gasoline plant would demonstrate the viability of energy alternatives to petroleum. The gasoline produced at this plant would utilize the existing infrastructure and would be a significant step towards energy independence, as well as providing a new revenue source for a struggling economy.

About Carbon Sciences, Inc.

Carbon Sciences offers a complete solution for transforming an abundant and affordable supply of natural gas into gasoline that burns cleaner than existing petroleum-based gasoline. While large producers, such as Shell and Sasol, have built and operate world scale gas-to-liquids (GTL) plants for large natural gas fields, our solution is engineered to cost effectively produce gasoline from the thousands of available small and medium size natural gas fields. Our first generation GTL solution integrates best of breed and proven technologies, including the ExxonMobil MTG process, to produce ready to use gasoline. We are also developing a proprietary technology to enable a second-generation GTL solution that will produce even cleaner gasoline by using captured CO2 or low value, high CO2 content natural gas as part of the process. Our technology can also be used to transform natural gas into other valuable, large volume products, such as hydrogen, methanol, ammonia, solvents and plastics.
