CARCHEX Grand Opening Raises $2000 for MADD

Proceeds From the Event Benefit Mothers Against Drunk Driving

HUNT VALLEY, MD--(Marketwired - Jul 16, 2014) - CARCHEX, the industry-leading provider of direct to consumer automotive products and services, today announced that it raised $2000 for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) at its Grand Opening celebration, with MADD national President Jan Withers in attendance. This donation goes towards their larger national partnership donation of $20,000. Proceeds from the event will support MADD's mission to stop drunk driving, to support the victims of this violent crime and to prevent underage drinking. CARCHEX and MADD became partners earlier this year.

The Grand Opening celebration took place on June 28, 2014 at CARCHEX's new headquarters in the Hunt Valley Towne Centre. The Baltimore Ravens' Justin Tucker and Jimmy Smith were on site to sign autographs and take red-carpet style photos with fans. The Grand Opening also coincided with a special gathering of automotive enthusiasts hosted by CARCHEX partner Hunt Valley Horsepower. Exotic, classic and muscle cars, trucks and SUVs were on display for the audience's enjoyment.

Fans also enjoyed a showcase of specialty vehicles, including McLaren and Lamborghini models, thanks to CARCHEX's partner Carbiz. The event also featured music from a live DJ, entertainment provided by Rolling Games Mania's Video Game Trailer, and special discounts on CARCHEX products.

"Our Grand Opening celebration was a tremendous success. We want to thank all of our partners, friends, and especially the Baltimore Ravens for their support," said Jason Goldsmith, CARCHEX CEO. "With their help, we were able to raise money that will go directly to a cause close to our hearts, MADD's mission to end drunk driving."

MADD is a non-profit organization committed to ending the preventable crime of drunk driving, supporting victims of this crime and preventing underage drinking. Since MADD was founded in 1980, drunk driving fatalities have been cut in half and over 300,000 lives have been saved.
