Cardea Technology Announces New Release of BoneStation™, the Workflow and Reporting Tool for Bone Health

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - August 15, 2007) - Cardea Technology announced the release of BoneStation™ version 2.0 of their flagship software program for the interpretation of DXA (Digital Radiographic) bone density scans and customized reports for physicians and patients. This version, available September 2007, includes a variety of new and useful features including workflow tracking pages, intelligent report distribution, improved HIPAA compliance, cross-referenced scan and patient searches, and an optional managed ASP solution.

-- A new workflow management section allows practices to track the status of patients, exams, and reports. BoneStation™ keeps users informed of activity from the time a patient appears for an exam to the time a report is distributed. A snapshot of any patient's exam may be viewed.

-- "Smart" report distribution not only allows reports to be directly printed, but also remembers the names and address of all recipients for quick automated processing. Reports may be distributed by hard-copy, fax, or email and integrated with hospital information systems, radiology systems and PACS systems.

-- HIPAA compliance version 2.0 is compliant with HIPAA regulations including user authentication and site activity logs.

-- A new user interface makes it easier to do more in fewer clicks and with less page scrolling.

-- The BoneStation ASP (Application Service Provider) solution makes the features of BoneStation available as a managed service with optimized patient data encryption and security features.
