Cardenas Markets Moves Into Mission Trail Center at Lake Elsinore as First Major Grocer in Area Serving Hispanic Population

LAKE ELSINORE, CA--(Marketwire - Apr 4, 2012) - Cardenas Markets, a family-owned grocery chain catering to the Hispanic market, has signed on as the anchor tenant at Mission Trail Center, becoming the first major Hispanic grocer in the Lake Elsinore area, a community that is surging to become one of the fastest growing Hispanic markets. According to the 2010 census, Lake Elsinore's Hispanic population was in excess of 48 percent. Mission Trail Center is located at 31904 - 31960 Mission Trail Rd. in Lake Elsinore, Calif.

The new, 24,400-square-foot Cardenas Markets is ideally situated, located within walking distance from Summerly, a 700-acre master-planned community under development with homes for 1,500 families and championship golf course. It's also close to the Lake Elsinore Storm Stadium, Diamond Cinemas, and a new Walgreens.

Founded in 1979, Cardenas Markets is known for providing a wide variety of products from Mexico and Central and South America that aren't found at other grocers. The stores feature extensive meat and produce departments, bakeries and tortillerias. Cardenas also has stores in Nevada.

The recently remodeled Mission Trail Center also includes such tenants as Del Taco, County of Riverside, Express Cleaners, Check into Cash, Metro PCS and additional retail and food spaces available ranging from 900 to 8,000 square feet.
