CareerBoard Launches Job Board to Connect Seattle Job Seekers With Seattle Employers

CLEVELAND, OH--(Marketwire - March 3, 2010) -  CareerBoard.com announced today the addition of Seattle.CareerBoard.com to their online network of 47 local job boards

"Seattle's strength in the healthcare, biotechnology and information technology industries made it an attractive market to launch our newest job board," explains CareerBoard's President, Peter Tuttle.

Seattle.CareerBoard.com features jobs in Seattle, Tacoma, Bellevue and the surrounding areas.

CareerBoard differentiates itself by offering cost effective alternatives to traditional 30-day advertisements including 7-day job postings and a Pay for Performance pricing option.

The 7-day job posting was developed in response to the results of a study that concluded 70% of applications occurred within the first week of a position being posted. "We give employers the flexibility to control their costs by advertising for a shorter period of time without significantly reducing candidate response," stated Tuttle.

CareerBoard's Pay for Performance (P4P) product enables employers to post jobs for free and only pay for qualified applications. Employers build a "qualified candidate profile" through a series of filtering questions and their cost per applicant is calculated from the number and depth of the filtering questions selected and the hiring salary.

"While the majority of hires will come from the local market, we also understand the occasional need to recruit outside of the area. It was important for us to develop a system in which employers can post their jobs locally, regionally or nationally and manage their talent from one centralized area," explains Tuttle.

CareerBoard also recently launched local employment websites in San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Phoenix.
