CareInSync Appoints Cheryl Cruver to Executive Team

20-Plus Year Healthcare Industry Veteran to Drive Business Growth for Cloud-Based Mobile Care Transitions Platform Innovator

SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwired - Dec 18, 2013) - As healthcare organizations shift from the traditional fee-for-service to outcomes-based payment models, patient care transitions within the hospital, and from hospitals to the home or specialized care settings are essential to improve financial performance and patient care quality. To capitalize on this market opportunity, CareInSync, developer of the leading evidence-based mobile multidisciplinary care team collaboration platform, today announced that Cheryl Cruver has been named Senior Vice President of Provider Solutions.

A 20-plus year healthcare industry veteran with a proven track record of achieving outstanding results in the provider market including leveraging emerging technologies, Cruver will lead CareInSync's high-performance sales organization in generating new business growth prospects in 2014.

"We're excited to have Cheryl join our executive management team. Her industry analytics knowledge, sales acumen and leadership capabilities will help accelerate our business development and customer acquisition process," said Steve Curd, CareInSync's CEO. "Specifically, Cheryl brings a deep understanding of how performance analytics can best benefit providers in addition to how this actionable data can successfully propel their transition to a value-based care model. She equally possesses strong knowledge of tools supporting clinical workflows that help clinicians improve their productivity and time with patients versus technology. Her hands-on knowledge of these areas will be of great value to our team and the hospitals and health systems that we serve."

Cruver comes to CareInSync after serving as managing director of performance technologies for The Advisory Board Company of Washington, D.C., where there she led the national launch of its real-time clinical analytics platform. Previously, she was regional vice president at MedVentive focused on population health analytics and recruited to open up the western U.S. region's provider market before the company was acquired by McKesson.

Cruver also held leadership and sales positions with Microsoft Health Solutions Group when it acquired Sentillion, Inc.'s portfolio of context management and single sign-on technologies, ProxyMed (now Capario), LabPortal (now Quest Diagnostics), and Healtheon/WebMD. She launched her career with SmithKline Beecham Clinical Laboratories, rising quickly through the ranks to become senior business manager of hospital markets in the U.S. western region.

"CareInSync's breakthrough Carebook mobile collaboration platform orchestrates patient care transitions in real time to dramatically improve the discharge to aftercare processes, which translates to better outcomes and reduced readmissions," said Cruver. "Helping caregivers navigate patient transition coordination successfully is the hallmark of a real game changer. I'm proud to be part of an organization delivering innovative mobile technology rapidly transforming the efficiency of care continuity involving the care teams, patients and their families."

Cruver earned a master of public administration/health services administration degree from the University of San Francisco and a bachelor of science degree in medical technology with a chemistry minor from the State University of New York at Fredonia. She served a year-long clinical internship at Millard Fillmore Hospital School of Medical Technology in Buffalo, N.Y., where she earned certification as medical technologist from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and clinical laboratory scientist from the National Credentialing Agency.
