CareTracker and AANAC Recognize Nursing Assistant Roles in Long-Term Care

Nominations for Nursing Assistant of the Year Scholarship Program Being Accepted Now Through February 28, 2010

NEW CONCORD, OH--(Marketwire - October 15, 2009) - Resource Systems, developer of long-term care electronic documentation system CareTracker, and AANAC announce the second annual Nursing Assistant of the Year Scholarship Program with a nomination deadline of February 28, 2010. The Nursing Assistant of the Year Scholarship program recognizes nursing assistants who provide extraordinary care to long-term care residents.

Crystal Enweiler of Rosholt, SD, the recipient of last year's scholarship, is using the $5,000 she received towards tuition for an 11-month Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program. Crystal works as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Rosholt Care Center and is enthusiastic about the opportunity to become an LPN. Regarding her nomination, Enweiler explains that one of the nurses in her facility noticed the scholarship in a magazine and they nominated her. "It's an opportunity of a lifetime!" said Enweiler.

"We're so pleased to see the first scholarship recipient on her way to becoming an LPN," said Larry Triplett, President of Resource Systems.

Nominations will be judged based on employment longevity, interaction with residents, family and staff, coaching or mentoring abilities, work ethic, and quality of work. For more information and online nominations please visit
