Carfax Buys Back First Canadian Car under the Buyback
Guarantee Program

ALBERTA, Canada--(CCNMatthews - Mar 2, 2005) -

Carfax, the most trusted provider of vehicle history information, today
announced that the company is buying back its first car in Canada under
the exclusive Carfax Buyback Guarantee program. The Alberta Registries
issued a Salvage Title for the vehicle - a 1996 Toyota Corolla - in
August 2001.

Carfax will pay the owner the full purchase price of $7,886.44 (Canadian
dollars). The vehicle identification number of the vehicle is
2T1BA05E0TC136245 and the corresponding Carfax Vehicle History Report
has now been updated and contains the following two notations: Salvage
Title/Certificate Issued and Rebuilt Title Issued.

"It's been nearly a year since we introduced the Buyback Guarantee and
the Corolla is the first car we've bought back in Canada," said Larry
Gamache, communications director at Carfax. "The Carfax Buyback
Guarantee is proof to both dealers and consumers in Canada that we stand
behind the accuracy of our reports."

Under the Carfax Buyback Guarantee, cars purchased with Carfax Vehicle
History Reports that do not contain U.S. State Department of Motor
Vehicles or Canadian Provincial Government - reported incidents
(salvage, flood damage, lemon, odometer problems) and/or Canadian Total
Losses may be eligible to be bought back from Carfax.
