Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital and GetWellNetwork Release White Paper on Rapid Implementation of IPC Technology

BETHESDA, MD--(Marketwired - September 15, 2015) - GetWellNetwork®, Inc., the leader in Interactive Patient Care™ (IPC) solutions, announced that it has released a new white paper detailing Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital's (CRMH) implementation of IPC technology throughout its facility. With more than 700 inpatient beds, CRMH is one of the largest hospitals in Virginia, and is part of the Carilion Clinic health system.

In an effort to improve the patient care experience and standardize the delivery of care throughout the hospital, CRMH executives implemented a facility-wide rollout of IPC technology. Beginning in June 2014, CRMH and GetWellNetwork completed IPC implementation across the hospital in just 90 days, as detailed in the white paper.

The white paper offers hospital and health system executives an overview of how CRMH achieved a successful, rapid rollout of IPC. Clinicians and frontline nurses can learn how an integrated IPC strategy can streamline workflows and save time. For IT professionals, the white paper outlines how an interoperable IPC solution can support and enhance other health IT systems.

"Our clients who recognize the most significant, lasting outcomes have first taken steps to ensure that every part of their organization understands their role in, and the importance of, a strategic IPC initiative," said Dianne Johnson, vice president of Logistics and Implementation Services for GetWellNetwork. "Only then can patients and families be effectively activated in their health journey."
