CaroTrans and Craft Strengthen U.S. - East Coast South America LCL and FCL Service Network

Alliance Expansion Adds Argentina and Uruguay to Established Brazil Partnership

CLARK, NJ and SAO PAULO, BRAZIL--(Marketwire - Jul 16, 2012) - CaroTrans, a leading global NVOCC (non vessel operating common carrier) and ocean freight consolidator, today announced the expansion of their partnership with Craft Multimodal in the East Coast of South America (ECSA) trade region. They will now team up in Argentina and Uruguay, in addition to their established 11 year exclusive relationship in Brazil, to deliver high quality, customer-focused LCL (less than container load) and FCL (full container load) containerized shipping services. This dedicated relationship will strengthen CaroTrans' and Craft's market presence and boost their service network in the growing U.S. - ECSA trade lane.

The CaroTrans - Craft alliance will deliver comprehensive, end-to-end local support and service with extensive sales and customer support coverage. CaroTrans has 14 local offices and 25 CFS (container freight stations) throughout North America to provide expedited, direct services and safe and secure local consolidation and deconsolidation services. The Craft Group, a major multinational leader in NVOCC services in South America, serves the global forwarding community with a dedicated team of 120 experienced sales professionals and specialized customer service teams. In Brazil, Craft dominates LCL activity with a 40% share of market.

"We are pleased to be expanding our alliance with Craft Multimodal to address the developing needs of the U.S. - ECSA trade region, a key growth area for international trade. Together, we offer global freight forwarders reliable, first-class containerized shipping solutions so they may provide the highest level of service to their global shipper customers," said Greg Howard, Global CEO, CaroTrans.

"Widespread globalization of businesses has led many customers to look for experienced, and established, global NVOs with leading positions in key development regions such as South America. By expanding our partnership with CaroTrans in Argentina and Uruguay we are able to provide our customers with high quality, end-to-end transport solutions, the same way we've achieved this heightened service in Brazil," said Marcellus Hansford, President, Craft Multimodal.

April 2012, CaroTrans announced a new Brazil LCL export service direct from Miami to Itajai to provide an additional cost effective, secure and fast transit option to this active trade region.
