Cartier Announces a New Silver Discovery on its Kinojevis Property

VAL-D'OR, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Aug. 27, 2007) - Cartier Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:ECR) ("Cartier") is pleased to announce that it is discovered a new mineralized zone on its flagship Kinojevis property. The new discovery is characterized by 150 grams per ton Ag (4.7 ounces per ton) and anomalous gold in an orientation sampling program conducted on the recent trenches (reported in August 13th press release) on the Kinojevis property.

The new discovery is related to a galena-rich quartz vein at the base of TR-07-01 (refer to website for details of location) in a faulted syenitic intrusive rock. At this location exposure of the mineralization is difficult due to deeper overburden. Additional trenching is planned along strike as well as follow-up drilling.

To date approximately 20% of the assay results for the recent channel sampling have been received. Several gold anomalies are present.

Cartier is currently progressing with trenching and drilling on the Kinojevis property. The program will continue throughout the fall.

Quality Assurance / Quality Control

The Kinojevis exploration program is conducted under the supervision of Mr. Philippe Berthelot, P. Geo., and Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101. Cartier has implemented and adheres to a strict Quality Assurance / Quality Control program which includes mineralized standards and blanks for each batch of samples. Analyses will be performed by ALS-Chemex located in Val d'Or, Quebec, an accredited laboratory.
