Cartier Confirms High Grade Gold Potential on Its Rambull Property

VAL-D'OR, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Sept. 15, 2009) - Cartier Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:ECR)("Cartier") is pleased to announce new assay results from its recent trenching program (refer to august 12th 2009 press release) on its Rambull property near Val-d'Or, Quebec.

A new channel sample result grading 21.32 g/t Au over 0.5 meters confirms the high grade gold mineralization in trench RAM-09-TR-03 and additional results grading up to 10.36 g/t Au over 1.0 meters demonstrates the potential of a second gold-bearing corridor 200 meters to the south of the first corridor. The grades within the southern system are hosted within a gabbro sill and are associated with a network of sub horizontal veins mineralized with pyrite and chalcopyrite.

In summary, four trenches ( demonstrate the high grade gold potential of the Rambull property.

Trench RAM-09-TR-02 exposed a quartz vein over twenty meters and shows it to be up to one-meter wide. This vein is situated within a granodiorite sill and has returned numerous gold intersections grading up to 22.08 g/t Au over 0.4 meters, 10.88 g/t Au over 1.0 meters and 9.32 g/t Au over 0.4 meters.

Trench RAM-09-TR-03 has identified numerous quartz-pyrite veinlets within the granodiorite. The veinlets have returned several significant gold grades including 27.72 g/t Au over 0.3 meters, 21.32 g/t Au over 0.5 meters and 5.17 g/t au over 0.65 meters. As well, a visible gold grain (0.3 cm in diameter) was discovered in the trench within the wall rock of a quartz vein.

Trenches RAM-09-TR-05 and 06, situated 250 meters south of RAM-09-TR02 and 03, show a gabbro sill injected with a network of sub horizontal quartz veins mineralized with pyrite and chalcopyrite. These rusty veins have returned grades up to 10.36 g/t Au over 1.0 meter and 3.88 g/t Au over 0.6 meters. Trench RAM-09-TR-06 also shows a semi-massive to massive pyrite horizon over 2.0 meters in pillowed basalts. The horizon yielded anomalous gold values and copper and zinc values are pending.

An exhalite horizon was discovered at surface over a strike length of 200 meters within the southern basalt formation. This is thought to be the eastern extension of Agnico-Eagle's Newconex deposit five kilometers to the west.

Quality Assurance/Quality Control

The Rambull exploration program is conducted under the supervision of Mr. Philippe Berthelot, P. Geo., qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101. Cartier has implemented and adheres to a strict Quality Assurance/Quality Control program which includes mineralized standards and blanks for each batch of samples. Assay samples are taken from drill core sawed in half with one half sent to a commercial laboratory and the other half retained for future reference. Analyses are either performed by Techni-lab S.G.B. Abitibi inc. in Sainte-Germaine, Quebec, or by ALS-Chemex in Val-d'Or, Quebec, both accredited laboratories.
