Cartus Wins 2013 International Pike's Peak Performance Award for Excellence in Training and Results

DANBURY, CT--(Marketwired - Oct 23, 2013) -  Cartus Corporation, a leading provider of domestic and global relocation services, recently received the international 2013 Pike's Peak Performance Award as a result of the comprehensive training its Global Learning & Development department provides to employees worldwide.

The award was presented by The Bob Pike Group, an organization that has trained more than 100,000 trainers over the past 30 years.

Cartus received the award, presented at the 20th Annual Creative Training Techniques Conference in Minneapolis, Minn., as a result of its thoroughness in redesigning its training with the learner in mind. Other noteworthy award winners included Softbank Group of Tokyo and China Minsheng Banking Corp. of Beijing.

"We are extremely proud to be recognized for our leadership role in global learning, training and development," said Tricia Small, vice president of Global Learning & Development for Cartus.

"We have completely re-engineered our training and moved from instructor-centered to participant-centered learning," said Small. "This has led to greater in-class and on the floor retention, participation, and enjoyment."

On average, Cartus provides 30 hours of training per employee per year, while its front-line employees (those working directly with clients) receive more than 232 hours of training when they start (and ongoing training thereafter).

The Pike's Peak Performance Award is a formal recognition of trainers or organizations who have transformed their training by implementing innovative, results-based techniques. Cartus demonstrated improved retention and training transfer in its sessions by implementing these new methods as well as increased tie-in to business objectives.

A long-time leader in providing high-quality training to its employees, Cartus was recognized by Training magazine in 2013 as one of the Top 125 companies. This was the 12th consecutive year Cartus was presented with this award, and it is the only major relocation provider to be included in Training's Top 125 list.
