Casa Latina Home Expo, Proven Hispanic Lifestyle Event, Coming to Miami

Leading Consumer Home and Lifestyle Show to Feature a "Who's Who" Lineup of Hispanic TV Personalities, Including Cristina Saralegui, Giselle Blondet and Martin Amado

MIAMI, FL--(Marketwired - Apr 16, 2015) - Casa Latina Home Expo, a culturally relevant, bilingual home and lifestyle event designed specifically for the needs, tastes and values of the U.S. Hispanic market, is coming to Miami for the first time. On Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31 the Miami Airport Convention Center will serve as the backdrop for a family-friendly weekend extravaganza featuring Hispanic celebrity meet and greet opportunities, hundreds of exhibitors, Latin food sampling, kid zone and live stage demonstrations.

After two successful events in New York City, show organizers decided to bring the consumer home event to Miami -- a majority Latino city where 70% of its population is Hispanic. Among the celebrities and notable activities scheduled to take place throughout the weekend are:

  • See the queen of Latin media, CRISTINA SARALEGUI; the first 200 attendees will receive a signed copy of her new book Pa'rriba y pa'lante! on Sat., May 30 only.
  • Meet GISELLE BLONDET, actress, TV host, entrepreneur and author of new book, Tengo 50. ¿Y qué?
  • Try tasty samples and learn from experts ELAINE & DAVID DURAN of TLC's The Next Great Baker, CHEF HAMLET GARCIA host of Vme Cocina, and many more local chefs on the COOKING STAGE!
  • Stroll through local artists' galleries in our ART MARKET and see renowned Cuban American artist HUMBERTO BENITEZ, creator of the official Casa Latina Home Expo poster. The first 100 visitors to visit booth #820 at the Casa Latina Home Expo on Saturday, May 30 will receive a free collectible poster. Additional posters will be available for $10 each and proceeds will be donated to a local Miami-Dade elementary school.
  • Learn new DIY design tips and tricks as you walk through the IKEA DESIGN ROOM CHALLENGE created by local students from the Miami International University of Art & Design. Get insider tips from MARLENE PRATT, interior designer and TV personality, and MARTIN AMADO, home stylist and TV personality, on the BETTER LIVING STAGE.
  • Stop by the KID ZONE for fun activities, healthy exercises and let your kids release some energy! Then re-energize with your favorite food brands at the FOOD SAMPLING area.
  • Nearly 100,000 sq. ft. of event space featuring LOCAL EXPERTS, fresh ideas, products and savings for the whole family!

With two stages and so many back-to-back fun activities, there's bound to be something for every member of the family. The Casa Latina Home Expo is open on Saturday, May 30 from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm. and Sunday, May 31 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Tickets are $8 at the door and $5 online for adults ages 13 and older. Seniors are $3 with valid ID. Children under 12 are free.
