Casa Systems to Introduce New Integrated CCAP Chassis at 2013 Cable Show

C100G Delivers the Industry's Highest CCAP Density, Enables MSOs to Deploy MPEG Video, IPTV, and DOCSIS Over a Single Port

ANDOVER, MA--(Marketwired - Jun 6, 2013) -  Casa Systems, a worldwide leader in next-generation cable edge technology, announced today that it will showcase its newly launched C100G Integrated Converged Cable Access Platform (I-CCAP) in booth #3617 at The Cable Show 2013, taking place June 10-12, 2013 in Washington, D.C. Designed to ease cable operators' migration to the next generation of IP services, the highly available, fully redundant C100G I-CCAP platform enables MSOs to deploy MPEG video, IPTV, and DOCSIS over a single port.

The C100G also delivers the industry's highest CCAP density while consuming the lowest average power per channel, minimizing both expenses and space requirements in the cable head end. The platform consists of a downstream module (DS8X96); switching module (SMM8X10G); and upstream module (US16X4), and currently supports over 8,000 downstream channels. Combined with Casa's time-tested and unique Software Defined Cable Architecture (SDCA), the C100G I-CCAP platform allows operators to quickly adapt to new features and functionality.

The Cable Show, "Cable's Busiest Marketplace," is produced by the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA), the principal trade association of the cable television industry in the United States. With the introduction of the C100G, which has already been successfully tested in the labs of one of the world's largest operators and deployed in live networks around the globe, Casa continues to bring critical technology to market that ensures MSOs worldwide can scale to meet rapidly changing consumption and cost requirements.

"As the first company to deliver a fully integrated, deployment-ready CCAP solution on a single chassis, Casa continues to lead the way by providing solutions with the greatest capacity in the industry," said Jerry Guo, founder and CEO of Casa Systems. "In an environment where industry leaders come together to inspire new ideas and create innovative partnerships that will ensure that cable stays ahead in today's digital media revolution, we are excited to present the deployment-ready C100G solution to the Cable Show audience."
