CASB Leader Elastica Named a Box Trust Partner

Elastica Selected for Box Trust Program to Extend Visibility, Data Loss Prevention and Threat Detection in the Box Community

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 13, 2015) - Elastica (, the leader in Data Science Powered™ Cloud Access Security, today announced it has been named a Box Trust partner by Box. The Box Trust ecosystem is comprised of a select group of technology innovators in the security space, chosen based on their market leadership, joint solution quality and commitment to the success of mutual customers. Elastica's solution will support extended user visibility, automated classification of compliance-related and sensitive data, user behavior analytics to identify potential compromised accounts, and granular policy enforcement.

The Box Trust ecosystem unites a premier group of organizations with the common goal of helping customers make sense of the cloud security controls required to protect data in cloud applications. The initiative provides Box customers with a network of solutions that ensure the visibility, access control and protection while storing and sharing data. Elastica's CloudSOC platform adds a layer of DLP and user behavior modeling within Box and across other SaaS applications that helps detect and remediate risks in minutes, including those related to sensitive data like Personally Identifiable Information (PII), Payment Card Information (PCI) and source code.

"Partners that are committed to bringing security, visibility and control to the cloud are extremely valuable to Box," said Justin Somaini, Chief Trust Officer at Box. "The Box Trust ecosystem allows us to provide customers with a comprehensive set of leading applications that secure their content, without sacrificing any of the benefits of working in the cloud, like increased productivity, collaboration and mobility."

In November 2014, Elastica released Elastica Securlet for Box, a standalone security application on the CloudSOC platform designed to discover risks and secure corporate assets stored in Box. The Securlet provides deeper integration of the Audit, Detect, Protect and Investigate applications within Box's content management and collaboration platform. Joining Box Trust extends Elastica's existing relationship with Box to provide further visibility and control of data to Box users.

"As enterprise organizations continue to store and share their data in the cloud, security networks like Box Trust that leverage the power of leading technologies like Elastica's are increasingly necessary to enable confident and secure use of cloud applications," said Rehan Jalil, CEO at Elastica. "Box's dedication to offering the a secure platform sets the bar high for other business applications in the cloud. We are thrilled to collaborate with Box and provide advanced CASB capabilities to enhance security for critical business data in the cloud."
