Casselberry Dentist Adds New Short-Term Orthodontic Treatment

CASSELBERRY, FL --(Marketwired - February 24, 2016) - A Casselberry dental office is now offering a new short-term orthodontic treatment to help patients correct crooked teeth in just a few months.

Fastbraces is a technology that uses a special bracket-and-wire design to dramatically move teeth in less than half the time of traditional braces. Fastbraces move the crown and root of the tooth at the same time -- a process that is completed separately with conventional metal braces.

"Fastbraces is one of the first true short-term orthodontic treatments available that can address a wide variety of alignment issues," said Dr. Tim Chatterley, who operates Bright Smiles Dental. "Patients appreciate the reduction in treatment time and can enjoy a beautiful smile without the hassle of wearing braces for two years or longer."

Dedicated to continuing education and finding comfortable and affordable treatments for his patients, Dr. Chatterley recently completed an extensive course on Fastbraces. While many patients believe traditional braces are the only way to correct alignment issues, Dr. Chatterley said that about 80 percent of all orthodontic cases can be treated with Fastbraces.

The overall treatment time for Fastbraces varies, but some patients have seen results in as little as 20 weeks. Unlike traditional metal braces, Fastbraces uses one super-elastic wire throughout the entire treatment. This eliminates the need for wire changes or painful wire tightenings.

"I have a passion for treating patients with orthodontic issues, as I love helping people accomplish the smile they've always wanted," Dr. Chatterley said. "With Fastbraces, we can give patients a great smile in about half the time and at a fraction of the cost of conventional braces."

In addition to introducing a revolutionary orthodontic treatment, Bright Smiles Dental has expanded its hours. The office is now open from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

Bright Smiles Dental, 1455 State Rd. 436, Ste. 101, is a state-of-the-art dental office built in 2013 that offers preventive dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, nonsurgical periodontal treatments and the revolutionary short-term orthodontic solution Invisalign.

Invisalign is a new orthodontic treatment available for teens and adults that uses clear aligners to straighten teeth. Using Invisalign, patients don't have to wear embarrassing or uncomfortable metal brackets or wires to achieve a beautiful and healthy-looking smile. The Invisalign trays are virtually invisible and can be easily removed for eating and cleaning. During initial Invisalign consultations, Dr. Chatterley uses the latest technology to show Invisalign patients their smile results when the treatment is finished. Invisalign can help patients correct crooked teeth, gapped teeth and mild bite issues.

Dr. Chatterley graduated at the top of his class from Loyola University of Chicago School of Dentistry and started in private practice in 1978. A Pasco, Wash., native, Dr. Chatterley graduated from Sylmar High School and earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University.

Focused on gentle and compassionate preventive care, Dr. Chatterley is an educator who teaches his patients about the connection between their oral health and overall health. Dr. Chatterley has pursued advanced training in laser gum disease treatment, dental implant restorations and orthodontics.

Dr. Chatterley regularly gives back to the community. He provides dental care for the local Healing the Children medical program; holds free emergency dental events; and has donated proceeds from teeth-whitening services to Second Harvest Food Bank. He also is involved in his church and local Boy Scout troop.
