Cassidian Communications, Inc. and INdigital Telecom Sign Patent License and Bi-Directional Reseller Agreements

  • INdigital is now a licensee of Cassidian Communications' '858 Patent for IP 9-1-1 selective call routing
  • Cassidian and INdigital reach bi-directional reseller agreements

Cassidian Communications, Inc., an EADS North America company, and Indiana-based INdigital telecom have entered into a license agreement regarding U.S. Patent No. 6,744,858 (the '858 Patent). Additionally, the two companies have entered into bi-directional reseller agreements.

The '858 Patent (System and Method for Supporting Multiple Call Centers) describes a methodology for performing IP 9-1-1 selective routing over a wide area network. As a result of the settlement and license agreement, INdigital is now permitted to utilize the call routing system and methods embodied in Cassidian Communications '858 Patent.

In accordance with the terms of the reseller agreements, Cassidian Communications' VESTA®/Sentinel® 4 Next Generation 9-1-1 call processing platform becomes INdigital's preferred call processing solution, and Cassidian Communications has full access to INdigital's Next Generation 9-1-1 routing solution to complement its portfolio.
