Cast Iron Systems Announces Record First Quarter 2008 Results
SaaS Integration Leader Builds on 2007 Momentum With Substantial Growth in New Customers, Partners, and Solutions
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwire - March 25, 2008) - Cast
Iron Systems, the fastest growing SaaS integration vendor, today
announced that its first fiscal quarter, which ended on February 29, was
the largest in the company's history. Last year, Cast Iron doubled its
business, with demand for SaaS application integration using the company's
integration appliances reaching its tipping
point. This momentum continues into the new fiscal year with Cast Iron
adding new products and partners, plus gaining customers in a wide variety
of industries including AmerisourceBergen, one of the largest
pharmaceutical services companies in the world; Aravo Solutions, the
leading provider of on-demand Supplier Information Management (SIM)
software and services; IBA Molecular, a global manufacturer of
radiopharmaceuticals, isotopes, and cyclotron solutions; Krueger
International, one of the largest furniture manufacturers in the country;
and The Sports Authority, the largest U.S. full-line sporting goods
retailer.
"Cast Iron's continued high growth rate demonstrates that our configuration
approach to integration is winning in the marketplace," said Ken Comée, CEO
at Cast Iron Systems. "As demand for SaaS solutions continues to grow at a
staggering pace, Cast Iron is well positioned to capitalize on this thanks
to our strategic and technological leadership in integrating SaaS with
other on-demand and on-premise applications."
"The Cast Iron integration solution simplifies and accelerates integration
between our on-demand SIM solution and our customers' legacy business
systems," said Brian Davidson, chief operating officer at Aravo Solutions. "Aravo's SIM solution
enables our customers to collect and manage essential supplier information.
Using Cast Iron, Aravo's SaaS application can efficiently and securely
disseminate information throughout each customer's extended enterprise,
ensuring accurate and timely updating of supplier information across all
enterprise systems."
In Q1, Cast Iron launched new solutions for integrating SaaS applications
with both on-demand and on-premise applications on either side of the
firewall. The company is offering these integration solutions in
cooperation with new partners such as Web operations experts OpSource and
leading outsourced EDI service
provider SPS Commerce. In February, Cast Iron launched virtual and physical
integration appliances for OpSource independent software vendors (ISVs) to
connect on-demand and on-premise applications rapidly and securely.
According to Treb Ryan, CEO at OpSource, "We're working with Cast Iron
because of their extensive experience in integrating SaaS with legacy
business systems. Clearly, integration is critical, and hundreds of
customers have proven the value of Cast Iron's solution with their
successful deployments."
"In addition to continued rapid growth in our customer base, we are
enjoying a much higher level of activity in our partnerships," said Ron
Wastal, vice president of business development and channel sales at Cast
Iron Systems. "With partner involvement in nearly 100 opportunities in Q1,
and with hundreds of partner-influenced opportunities in the pipeline, it's
evident that Cast Iron has the integration expertise and solution both ISVs
and system integrators want."
