Cast Iron Systems Names Former Oracle Executive George Gallegos Vice President of Sales

Former Oracle Corp. Sales Leader Joins Fastest Growing Integration Company

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwire - August 23, 2007) - Cast Iron Systems, the fastest growing integration vendor, today announced the appointment of George Gallegos to the position of vice president of sales. Gallegos has more than 20 years of sales experience and has most recently led the No. 1 sales teams at global giants like Oracle Corp. and Siebel Systems. At Cast Iron, Gallegos will continue building on the company's tremendous success evidenced by multiple quarters of explosive revenue growth.

"Attracting a sales leader as accomplished as George is a testimony to how hot the Integration Appliance market has become," said Ken Comée, president and chief executive officer of Cast Iron Systems. "George has an enviable track record of building sales teams that consistently deliver against escalating revenue targets. Our sales have grown more than 500 percent over the past two years and George's proven ability to handle velocity and rapid expansion made him the ideal executive to sustain our level of growth."

Before joining Cast Iron, Gallegos was regional vice president at Oracle Corp., where his team achieved significant revenue growth year after year, and where he recently received the coveted Vice President of The Year Award. Before Oracle Corp., Gallegos was a regional vice president at Siebel Systems, where his sales teams closed many of the company's landmark deals and exceeded quota for six consecutive years. Gallegos has also held senior sales positions at various Silicon Valley technology firms since 1987.

"Cast Iron's outstanding performance to date is what first attracted me to the company, but that's just the tip of the iceberg," said Gallegos. "Our powerfully disruptive technology will enable us to transform the integration industry by dramatically reducing cost and complexity. My immediate challenge is to scale the sales organization quickly enough to meet the unprecedented demand for integration appliances."
