CAST Recovery Offers Groundbreaking Employment Opportunity for Newly Sober Addicts and Alcoholics

SANTA MONICA, CA--(Marketwire - Sep 28, 2011) - Addicts entering CAST outpatient program are given a golden opportunity upon entering recovery. CAST offers patients a head start in joining the workforce by offering a paid internship program at Black Sheep Web Technologies, a web development company. When a patient enters CAST they are given the opportunity to schedule an interview and to begin working immediately.

Black Sheep Web Technologies creates and manages websites that are usually treatment related. One website they created "" is quickly blossoming in the field of treatment directory sites. This is partly due to Black Sheep's link building program, which strives to spread the site through the web which prioritizes "" in the results of search engines.

Another way that Black Sheep heightens the presence of websites is through their creative design program which revamps the aesthetics of a site. This program also makes websites more interactive and easier to navigate.

Beginning an internship at Black Sheep usually only starts with about 12 to 16 hours a week for the average intern. However, when trust is earned interns can work up to 40 hours a week. Some even earn raises and others are eventually promoted to managerial positions.

When one initially enters sobriety, interests can change and often the question of "What am I interested in?" arises. Black Sheep helps those new in recovery identify their interests or simply expand their talents. It gives the newly sober person experience and practice working in a professional environment and most of all, it builds confidence, self-esteem, and self-worth.

No matter what one's interests or talents are, Black Sheep will accommodate them. If one is a writer, Black Sheep allows them to utilize this gift in the form of blogs and articles either for or another website that has hired Black Sheep for this purpose. Those that are into art can work as a web designer or even simply create art to be hung in the Black Sheep office. Others that are interested in computers or web technology are given the opportunity to design websites or do search engine optimization. There are other opportunities in various media creation and design/programming fields. The strengthening and highlighting of the natural talents of interns can open the door for a serious career in the future.

Many of the Black Sheep employees live at C West, which is a male sober living that works as a team with CAST outpatient. Others reside at CAST Transitional Living for Women, which is C West's female counterpart. Creating a work environment where these peers work together as a team helps build the interpersonal communication skills of the interns.

Mike Bayer, CEO of explained the Black Sheep vision, "What we've tried to do is create new jobs for people who are in recovery and try to figure out ways to even give them bonuses and create positions around them and really support what they want to do as a career."
