Catalyst September Seminars Help Corporations Navigate Unique Challenges of E-Discovery in Asia

E-discovery Technology Leader to Co-Host Complimentary Seminars in London, Osaka and Tokyo Exploring Distinct Legal, Regulatory, Business and Cultural Practices Governing Litigation and Discovery in the Region

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwired - Sep 2, 2014) - With the Asia-Pacific region seeing a rapid rise in the adoption of e-discovery, particularly in South Korea and Japan, multinational corporations face significant challenges there. Country-specific legal, business and cultural frameworks govern key issues such as data hosting and protection, data transmission and privacy protection.

To help corporations and their counsel navigate this challenging legal terrain, Catalyst Repository Systems -- known worldwide for designing, hosting and supporting the world's fastest and most powerful document repositories for large-scale discovery and regulatory compliance -- will co-sponsor a complimentary series of September seminars in London, England, and in Osaka and Tokyo, Japan. The seminars will explore recent developments in international litigation and discovery, with a special focus on Asia.

The first of the seminars, "E-Discovery in Asia," will be held in London, Sept. 2 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at The Grange Hotel St. Paul's, 10 Godliman Street. Cosponsored by Catalyst and I-Analysis, the breakfast seminar will discuss current e-discovery rules in the region, identify the most pressing challenges faced by practitioners and suggest strategies for overcoming those challenges. Panelists will be Nigel Murray, e-discovery and data privacy consultant; Darren Cerasi, director of I-Analysis; Vince Neicho, litigation support senior manager at Allen & Overy LLP; and Dave Sannar, managing director of Catalyst Repository Systems, Japan. Panelists will be Hiroko Namura and Yoshinori Sada of Osaka-based Namura & Partners and Donald C. Klawiter of Sheppard Mullin LLP.
