Caterpillar Dealer and UNIT4 CODA Customer to Present at COMMON; Recounts Growth Strategy on the IBM i Platform

Presentation October 3 at COMMON 2011 Fall Conference & Expo

MANCHESTER, NH--(Marketwire - Sep 27, 2011) - UNIT4 CODA, Inc., a division of UNIT4 (EURONEXT AMSTERDAM: UNIT4), the world's leading provider of business software for fast-changing organizations, will enhance its participation in the COMMON 2011 Fall Conference & Expo by sponsoring "Enabling Growth Through Integration with the IBM i Platform" presented by Kramer Ltd., a Regina, Saskatchewan-based Caterpillar dealership.

The program, offered at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, October 3, features Kramer Ltd.'s Information Systems Manager Rob Nelson outlining Kramer's very successful growth strategy leveraging the IBM Power System's stability and integrated operating environment. With nine locations and more than 400 employees, Kramer, a UNIT4 CODA customer since 1994, has cut costs and enhanced business productivity by using APIs and web services to obtain unparalleled financial analysis and real-time reporting.

Kramer reports that the combination of its IBM Power System with the best-of-breed approach of Coda Financials allows the firm to see business in real time, giving it the opportunity to build in strengths and shore up weaker areas. According to Nelson, "Coda Financials has enabled us to get an accurate, real-time view across finance, so we truly know where our business is at any point in time."

UNIT4 CODA will display its award-winning solutions at booth #33, highlighting its technology framework, strong integration capabilities and 100 percent open API architecture. The COMMON 2011 Fall Conference & Expo runs October 3-5 in St. Petersburg, Fla. and is run by COMMON, the world's largest community of IBM midrange users, IBM and related third-party solution providers.

"Like so many of our customers, Kramer has exploited the flexibility and interoperability of our financial accounting system," said Steve Pugh, CEO of UNIT4 CODA. "In fact, the system's flexibility to accommodate change and enable customers to adapt to evolving business needs is one of its key strengths and the primary reason for Kramer's successful, ongoing deployment of Coda Financials."

IBM Power Systems servers running Power i allow companies to incrementally add new applications and run a mixture of technologies in one hardware environment. The platform provides an easy-to-implement runtime environment requiring relatively little programming expertise and administration. UNIT4 CODA reinforces the i platform's established reputation for stability, data integrity and security with Coda Financials, its best-of-class financial application for IBM's highly flexible and robust platform.
