VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Dec. 18, 2013) - The Vancouver Section of the Hong Kong-Canada Business Association is pleased to host Cathay Pacific's incoming Chief Operating Officer and current Director Sales & Marketing, Mr. Rupert Hogg as a speaker at the HKCBA luncheon in January - his first North American speaking engagement since the announcement of his new role.
Mr. Hogg will be speaking at HKCBA's Luncheon at the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver on January 14, 2014 at noon. In his presentation, entitled, "Hong Kong and Cathay Pacific: Continuing a Successful Journey," Mr. Hogg will draw upon his experience of working for one of the world's leading airlines (with a 30-year history in Canada) and comment on the importance of Hong Kong as a global aviation hub; what it means to maintain Cathay Pacific's pre-eminent position and gateway to Greater Asia and China - the world's fastest growing market.
"Cathay Pacific has played a vital role in the Hong Kong-Canada bilateral trade, transporting people and cargo between the two regions," said HKCBA Vancouver President Paul Gibbons. "We are extremely pleased to have Mr. Hogg share with our members and guests Cathay Pacific's view on Hong Kong as a global aviation hub as well as a gateway to Greater Asia and China."
Rupert Hogg has been Director Sales & Marketing since August 2010 and is responsible for all Cathay Pacific's sales and marketing activities worldwide. Prior to taking up his current role, he was Director Cargo from 2008 to 2010. Mr. Hogg joined John Swire & Sons in 1986 and has held various positions in Cathay Pacific and other Swire group companies.
