Caza Gold Appoints Vice President Exploration


VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - April 19, 2011) -Greg Myers, CEO and President of Caza Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE:CZY)(FRANKFURT:CZ6), is pleased to announce the appointment of Donald Cameron, M.Sc. Geology, as the new Vice President of Exploration for Caza Gold, effective April 1, 2011.

Mr. Cameron brings to Caza 35 years of experience in the mining industry, specializing in the exploration, evaluation and development of mineral deposits world-wide. Don has worked in exploration and mining as a senior geologist for major companies such as Hecla Mining, Bema Gold and Kinross Gold in North and South America and Asia. He was most recently with Kinross Gold as Director of Technical Services, responsible for providing mine geology and engineering oversight for the Company's gold mines and exploration projects.

Mr. Cameron started his mineral exploration career in the mid 1970's as a geologist for Anaconda Copper Mines where he managed the field office and drilling programs that led to the discovery of the Silver Creek Moly Deposit in Colorado. During the late 1980's, he expanded his work experience as a geological consultant for small-cap mining companies in North America. In 1990, he joined Asamera Minerals as Chief Mine Geologist, leading an aggressive team effort to revive the Wenatchee gold mine in Washington with the discovery and development of a new ore-body. From 1995 to 2005, Mr. Cameron acted as Chief Geologist for Hecla Mining Company and was a major influence in directing Hecla's entry into South America which became the focus of the company for the next 10 years.

Starting in 2005, Mr. Cameron played key roles with both Bema Gold and Kinross Gold in the development of the Kupol and Julietta gold mine projects in eastern Russia. As Chief Geologist for Operations, he was responsible for the reserve estimation and mine geology programs, as well as the recruiting and training of technical staff at Kupol. He was also a member of the feasibility team that secured the $400 million project financing which eventually made Kupol a flagship gold mine for Kinross Gold.
