CCR Technologies Ltd. Investigates Strategic Alternatives

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Jan. 29, 2008) - CCR Technologies Ltd. (TSX:CRL) ("CCR" or the "Corporation"), a leading chemical purification technology solutions and service provider, has recently completed a review of the Corporation's growth opportunities around the world in its core vacuum distillation based reclaiming business, including large monoethylene glycol reclaimers for offshore natural gas projects, permanent amine reclaimers for refineries, gas plants and CO2 capture plants, and mobile reclaiming of amines, glycols and other process chemicals in North America and the Middle East.

A Special Committee of the board of directors has been formed to investigate and review different alternatives for obtaining the additional human and financial resources needed to pursue these opportunities, so as to optimize the trade-off between potential returns and their associated risks, and maximize the value created for the Corporation's clients and shareholders. This Special Committee, in conjunction with management of the Corporation, will consider a full range of options available to the Corporation, including the merger or sale of the Corporation with a larger entity, establishment of joint ventures, new financings, or the sale of certain or all of the Corporation's assets.
