Cedar Point Communications Takes Cable Into the Future at Leading Technology Conference

SafariFusion™ Product Family to Debut; Panel Contributions to Highlight Business Services, PacketCable 2.0 Thought Leadership

During the Oct. 28-30 conference at the Colorado Convention Center, Cedar Point will unveil a new solution that is designed to leverage the power of PacketCable 2.0 and IP Multimedia Subsystem architectures, and will demonstrate how operators can create converged, or "fused" IP-based services to enable the integrated digital lifestyle. In addition, Cedar Point executives will share thought leadership in panel discussions focusing on leveraging the cable network to deliver fused services as well as business services as drivers of new revenues.

Cedar Point's participation at the cable industry's premiere technology conference will include:

--  The debut of a flexible, cost-effective solution for PacketCable
    2.0/IMS services, including the company's new SafariFusion™ Application
    Platform; initial applications that support residential communications
    services and simplify network registration, routing; and a new role for
    Cedar Point's SAFARI C3 Multimedia Switching System;
--  A demonstration of the ability of SafariFusion™ to simultaneously
    support PacketCable 1.x, PacketCable 2.0 and IMS endpoints, including
    devices from Thomson and Ubee Interactive;
--  A demonstration of the integrated digital lifestyle utilizing a
    television with an on-screen-display user interface and a variety of SIP
    endpoints, interoperating with PC 2.0/IMS core elements delivering fused
    communication services, in conjunction with Savant Systems;
--  A discussion of lessons learned from field deployments of business
    voice services to the SMB market by Chris Gugger, senior director, market
    development for Cedar Point; and
--  Involvement by Mark Tubinis, CTO of Cedar Point, on the conference's
    kickoff engineering panel with Comcast's John Schanz, Tandberg Television's
    Michael Adams, and Time Warner Cable's Mike Hayashi. Tubinis will speak on
    "Leveraging the Modern Cable Network: Creating and Improving Digital
    Lifestyles through Fused Services."

Gugger will present "Lessons Learned -- Launching Business Voice Services to SMBs" as part of the "Business Voice -- What It Is And What It Takes To Launch It" session from 11 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. on October 29.
