Cedar Point's SafariFusion Visual Communications Suite Named Finalist in Leading Lights Competition

VCS Recognized as One of Six Finalists in Cable Services or Applications Category

DERRY, NH--(Marketwire - October 6, 2010) -  Cedar Point Communications, a worldwide leader in integrated Voice over IP (VoIP) switching technologies for service providers, announced today that its SafariFusion™ Visual Communications Suite (VCS) has been recognized as one of the cable industry's best new services or applications by a leading telecommunications industry publication.

SafariFusion VCS, which optimizes subscriber control of telecommunications functionality at the television and other devices, was named a finalist in the Best New Services or Applications Category (Cable) category by Light Reading, a trade publication covering telecommunications and cable. Other finalists included Cox Communications; Cablevision's Optimum Lightpath; Suddenlink Communications; thePlatform; and ClearAccess.

Leading Lights winners will be announced at an awards dinner on Tuesday, November 2, at Hudson Terrace in New York City.

The SafariFusion™ Visual Communications Suite (VCS) is a holistic approach to communications management that includes several variations of voicemail and outbound calling functionalities, as well as Caller ID, on TV and other devices. SafariFusion VCS leverages the capabilities of Cedar Point's SafariFusion Application Platform (AP) to maximize deployment flexibility and customer utility. The suite is compatible with EBIF, tru2way, IPTV and other standards, and can be delivered to any device, including set-top boxes, connected TVs, PCs, iPads, tablets and mobile devices.

Designed to provide subscribers with significantly increased visibility into inbound communication, SafariFusion VCS initially consists of such features as Caller ID; Message Waiting Indicator; Call Log with call disposition (Call Answered, Missed Call, Message Left); "Click to Call" from call log; and User-definable configuration of communications features. Additional features will include Visual Voicemail with audio review and speech to text capability; Incoming call message screening; and Network address book storage.
