WRIGHTSTOWN, WI--(Marketwire - Dec 19, 2012) - President & CEO of cei (Coating Excellence International), Mike Nowak has announced recent additions to the company's executive leadership team.

Julie A. Piton, C.P.A. joined cei as Chief Financial Officer in June 2012. She was most recently Vice President, Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer at AtriCure, Inc., a medical device company and a leader in cardiac surgical ablation systems for the treatment of atrial fibrillation and systems for the exclusion of the left atrial appendage. Prior to joining AtriCure in 2007, Ms. Piton held various financial executive positions with School Specialty, Inc., a publicly-held supplier, publisher and manufacturer of educational products to the preK-12 market, including Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations, Corporate Controller, Vice President Finance and divisional Chief Financial Officer. Before joining School Specialty, Ms. Piton held various financial management positions with Sensient Technologies and Schneider National and was a Senior Auditor for Deloitte & Touche LLP. Ms. Piton received her B.A. and her M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin.
Jeffrey M. Tritapoe joined cei as Chief Operating Officer in September 2012, having previously been Director of Operations at Silgan Plastics Corporation. Prior to that, Mr. Tritapoe held various positions with Berry Plastics, a leading global manufacturer and marketer of value-added plastic consumer packaging and engineered materials, where he was responsible for the plastics operations in Danville, KY. While at Berry Plastics over a seventeen year span, he held a range of positions from Plant Engineer to Vice President of Operations. Mr. Tritapoe holds both Green Belt and Lean DFSS certifications and comes to cei with a strong analytical background utilizing Six Sigma and Lean methodologies in advancing operational efficiencies. In addition, Mr. Tritapoe holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, respectively, from The University of Tennessee.
Lorna Hay joined cei in September 2012, as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, after building and energizing a number of packaging sales forces, most recently at Tegrant ThermoSafe Brands. ThermoSafe designs and manufactures temperature assured packaging within Cold Chain supply for the Pharmaceutical markets where she managed the global commercial team with emphasis on securing geographic penetration in North America, Europe and Asia. From 2005 to 2009, Ms. Hay was Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Portola Packaging, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of packaging solutions for the non-carbonated beverage market. At Portola she was a member of the senior management team responsible for the direct and indirect commercial teams that served customers and prospects and had full profit and loss responsibilities of the Equipment Division. Ms. Hay's strengths are in devising and implementing commercial strategies that compliment the overall goals and objectives of the company. She is a strong believer in robust sales management processes that link sales activity to generating long term customer loyalty.
George Landes, Jr., joined cei in August 2012 as Senior Vice President Sales Food Flexible Packaging. In this position, he is responsible for the Food Flexible Sales Group, growing cei's flexible packaging business, and achieving cei's vision of being a top ten US flexible packager. Mr. Landes has extensive experience in flexible packaging and management, having come to cei from Polycello, an extruder of polyethylene films and a flexographic converter focused primarily on the frozen food, tissue and toilet paper overwrap, frozen fish, and pet food markets. At Polycello he was responsible for the long-range strategic planning activities while being responsible for the North American sales region. Prior to joining Polycello in 2001, Mr. Landes was Vice-President of Sales & Marketing at Maine Poly, Inc., an extruder of polyethylene films and a flexographic converter focused on producing plain and printed single wall and laminated structures used in the seafood, nut, pet food, consumer goods, and food industries, where he developed and executed sales and marketing goals, plans and programs ensuring profitable growth and expansion of MPI's product lines.
