Celebrate Earth Day by Making a Difference at MyInchofTheEarth.com

New Release of MyInchofTheEarth.com Allows People to Claim Meaningful Places and Preserve Memories While Supporting Good Causes Such as National Park Foundation

MADISON HEIGHTS, MI--(Marketwired - Apr 22, 2013) -  In addition to planting trees, and donating their time to outdoor cleanup and beautification efforts this Earth Day, people can also make a difference online. In recognition of Earth Day (April 22) and National Park Week (April 20-28), MyInchofTheEarth.com and the National Park Foundation are collaborating and inviting earth conscious advocates and enthusiasts to claim their virtual piece of America's National Parks through the newly redesigned MyInchofTheEarth.com web site. The NPF, which is dedicated to raising private funds that directly aid, support and enrich the country's nearly 400 national parks and their programs, is one of several nonprofit organizations that use MyInchofTheEarth.com as a fundraising platform.

At MyInchofTheEarth.com, small actions can make a big difference. These small actions begin by claiming a virtual inch of the earth and personalizing the inch with a story, picture and or a video that explains why the place is so meaningful; and then sharing the inch and memories with others across dozens of social media channels. Every time an inch is claimed and shared, other people are encouraged and inspired to make a difference and support good causes. Each inch is claimed with a minimum donation of $12 to the user's preferred charity or cause. People's experiences are as unique as the lat/long coordinates of the places they choose, and each claimed inch is rewarded with a GoodDEED Certificate that authenticates the inch and commemorates the donation.

"The National Park Foundation is committed to preserving battlefields, historic sites and natural areas across America, and we are proud to help support their efforts in a new and engaging way," said Michele Favoretto, CEO and founder of TerraYebo. "In recognition of Earth Day and National Park Week, everyone is invited to MyInchofTheEarth.com to share their memorable experiences at our national parks and support the National Park Foundation."

Dan Glisky, Jr, TerraYebo president, added, "MyInchofTheEarth.com provides a fun, engaging and meaningful way to preserve the planet for generations and inspire others to pay it forward. When someone buys an inch in support of the NPF, they are doing their part to ensure that we can forever enjoy our country's national and natural treasures."
