Celebrate Teachers This Holiday Season... and Beyond

The Best Gift Costs Nothing at All

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - December 12, 2007) - This holiday season, PTA is reminding everyone, including their friends in the media, that the gift teachers would like most costs nothing at all. Surveys and polls continue to show that teachers rank a simple and heartfelt 'thank you' as their most coveted gift from children and parents.

That's why PTA is encouraging parents to stop worrying about what to buy and instead visit www.teacherthankyoucard.org. There, parents with their children can personalize an e-card to honor a teacher. The best part? It's never too late to say thank you!

As your PTA Public Relations Team wishes you a great holiday season, we ask you to take a moment to thank a former teacher that you had... it could even be the teacher that noticed what a good eye for news you have! It's not too late... Visit the site and thank them!

The website is part of an effort by the PTA and NEA to launch the nation's largest teacher thank you card during Teacher Appreciation Week in May 2008. Cards are being collected by mail or online until March 1 and will be compiled into one gigantic card to be unveiled in spring 2008.
