Celebrate the season at Mount Sinai's NICU Graduate Picnic

Attention: Assignment Editor, Health/Medical Editor, News Editor, Photo Editor TORONTO--(CCNMatthews - June 7, 2005) - Spring is a time to celebrate life, and the promise of the season is best embodied by the children and families at Mount Sinai Hospital's 18th Annual NICU Graduate Picnic.

The NICU Graduates were brought into this world at Mount Sinai Hospital, and after the challenges and struggles of those early days and/or months in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), they are now ready to reunite with staff and volunteers to celebrate their happiness and success.

You are invited to attend the NICU Graduate Picnic 2005, which will be held June 11 in High Park, and witness a reunion which also provides an emotional boost for families, hospital staff and volunteers see their hard work and dedication rewarded with happy, healthy children.

For some families, the NICU Graduate Picnic is their first opportunity to meet face-to-face with volunteers from the Parent Buddy Program - former NICU parents who provide emotional support and information via telephone to families going through this challenging life experience.

Join the party:

Date: Saturday June 11, 2005
Time: 12 Noon to 3 p.m.
Where: Toronto's High Park, Areas 2 & 3, which are located southwest of the Bloor
Street - High Park Boulevard intersection.

Photo Opportunity: Happy kids, smiling parents, staff and volunteers. Face painting,
games and other fun for kids.
