CHESTER, NOVA SCOTIA--(Marketwired - July 25, 2014) - Department of Canadian Heritage

The Chester Art Centre Association will receive funding of $2,000 for its annual festival through the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage Program.

Gerald Keddy, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of National Revenue and for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and Member of Parliament (South Shore-St. Margaret's), made this announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

A one-day art exhibition on August 9 is designed to give about 30 local artists and artisans from Chester a chance to showcase their work to the public.
