Celebrating Scottish Heritage in Fergus

FERGUS, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - May 15, 2015) - Department of Canadian Heritage

The Government of Canada is providing $15,000 under the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program to support the 70^th edition of the Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games.

The Honourable Michael Chong, Member of Parliament (Wellington-Halton Hills), announced this support today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

Quick Facts

• This year's festival will take place from August 7 to 9. Activities include performances of Celtic music and highland dance, as well as displays of traditional crafts.
• The festival site is at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex in Fergus.
