Government of Canada supports the Fergus Scottish Festival


FERGUS, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - May 15, 2015) - Department of Canadian Heritage

The Government of Canada is providing $15,000 under the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program to support the 70th edition of the Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games.

The Honourable Michael Chong, Member of Parliament (Wellington-Halton Hills), announced this support today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

Quick Facts

  • This year's festival will take place from August 7 to 9. Activities include performances of Celtic music and highland dance, as well as displays of traditional crafts.
  • The festival site is at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex in Fergus.
