Government of Canada supports TAIWANfest 2015


TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - May 13, 2015) - Department of Canadian Heritage

The Government of Canada is providing $14,000 in funding under the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program for the 2015 edition of TAIWANfest in Toronto. The three-day arts and heritage festival is presented by the Taiwanese Canadian Association of Toronto.

Chungsen Leung, Member of Parliament (Willowdale), announced this support today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

Quick Facts

  • This year's festival will be held August 28 to 30 and will feature music presentations, film screenings, art installations and craft workshops.
  • The Taiwanese Canadian Association of Toronto is the largest Taiwanese organization in the Greater Toronto Area. One of its main mandates is to maintain and promote Taiwanese culture to Canadian society.
