MANCHESTER, NH--(Marketwire - March 22, 2011) - Cellular Specialties, Inc. (CSI), a recognized leader in the design and implementation of in-building 3G/4G, Wi-Fi, and Public Safety wireless products and solutions, today announced that they have deployed a 4G LTE in-building wireless coverage solution to enhance high-speed, voice and data connectivity at the Orlando International Airport. The solution will enhance wireless coverage for the employees, public safety personnel, and passengers/visitors throughout the airport. The wireless enhancement is considered the largest 4G LTE public venue for the associated U.S. Carriers -- totaling 2,568,000 square feet of coverage.

CSI led the wireless upgrade using MobileAccess equipment in conjunction with the U.S. carriers for backhaul services. Working closely with the U.S. Carriers and the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) on the design and in-building layout, CSI installed a Distributed Antenna System (DAS) that would not interfere with aircraft support frequencies while facilitating public safety communications and 4G connectivity throughout the airport.
