Cemaphore's MailShadow Equips Microsoft Exchange Channel With New Advantage

Legacy and New Exchange Customers Buy Into Affordable Disaster Recovery; IT Service Providers Another 9, 4IT, and Micromenders Capitalize on Cemaphore DR

SAN MATEO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 28, 2007 -- Cemaphore Systems™, a leading provider of messaging services management solutions, is equipping the Microsoft Exchange channel to offer its solutions. Cemaphore's flagship product, MailShadow, enables Microsoft Exchange channel partners to protect all Exchange customers with a disaster recovery solution affordably priced by the mailbox to meet any need for disaster recovery.

"Cemaphore is changing the game for Exchange service providers," notes David Ferris, President, Ferris Research. "Generally, IT firms charge by the mailbox for email services, and MailShadow delivers assured email continuity by the mailbox, at an affordable price, so it is a perfect match for service providers."

"MailShadow is quickly becoming the solution of choice for highly connected organizations who want to ensure Exchange continuity for their employees," states James Oliverio, President, Another 9, an IT services firm dedicated to advancing business uptime. "MailShadow makes disaster recovery for Exchange affordable, reliable and near instantaneous, suitable for any size company or customized need."

MailShadow® has the fastest, fully intact Exchange Mailbox Failover Rate (MFR) in the industry. No other email disaster recovery solution delivers such affordable disaster recovery protection by the mailbox over the least amount of bandwidth.

MailShadow is the only DR solution that can ensure no data corruption because it is the only one using transaction replication technology to move all Exchange content for each mailbox, including calendars and contacts, to the DR Exchange server, and verifies as it replicates the data.

Consistent with Microsoft Exchange compatibility, Cemaphore is first to license the Outlook-Exchange Transport Protocol (previously known as MAPI) specification from Microsoft to enable Cemaphore's development team to ensure seamless interoperability with Exchange Server and Microsoft Office Outlook.

Microsoft Exchange channel partners know their customers expect uninterrupted email services. With MailShadow, they now offer additional protection by the mailbox, charge by the mailbox and pay for the capability by the mailbox.

"Hurricane season is again fast approaching and email is the most critical application for our customers," states Alex Freund, President, 4IT, an IT services firm with many long-term clients in South Florida. "MailShadow gives us the capability to keep our clients' email working no matter what Mother Nature may send our way."

"For the first time, we can deliver complete mailbox protection and email continuity by the mailbox," states Craig Carter, CTO, Micromenders, an IT consulting and support services firm that keeps your critical IT systems running and your business secure 24x7. "Because MailShadow uses transactions to replicate mailbox content there is no server recovery involved in a disaster since the Exchange server at the DR site is live and running."

MailShadow complements Microsoft Exchange 2007 to provide a true geo-diverse email DR solution compared to Exchange 2007's limited campus DR solution, and provides seamless migration capabilities from older versions of Exchange to Exchange 2007.

IT services firms who wish to expand their Exchange services should contact Cemaphore for additional information on MailShadow and how to become an authorized channel partner.

MailShadow uses transaction replication technology to move all Exchange content, including calendars and contacts, to the DR Exchange server, and checks the integrity of all data prior to forwarding transactions. After failover, Outlook, OWA, ActiveSync, BlackBerry, etc. are fully functional, and complete mailbox content is available.
