Cemig to Begin Construction on Solar Photovoltaic Plant in January 2012, an Industrial Info News Alert

CORDOBA, ARGENTINA--(Marketwire - Nov 23, 2011) - Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- Brazilian power utility firm La Companhia Energética de Minas Gerais S.A. (NYSE:CIG) (Cemig) (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) will begin construction of a 3-megawatt (MW) pilot solar photovoltaic plant in the city of Sete Lagoas, Minas Gerais, in January 2012. The investment for this project will be 40 million reais, or about US$22.46 million, and it is expected to begin commercial operation in May 2012.
