Centennial Global Technology Inc. Shines on Kingston

KINGSTON, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 26, 2010) - The Kingston Economic Development Corporation (KEDCO) is pleased to announce that Centennial Global Technology Inc., a Canadian company, is immediately expanding their PV solar panel manufacturing operations to Kingston, Ontario.

Centennial Global Technology Inc. is a Canadian-based PV manufacturing company involved in the photovoltaic industry. As an eco-friendly company, their goal is to promote the use of renewable energy sources, specifically solar-power systems for which they manufacture solar panels which are amongst the most efficient on the global marketplace today.

"Centennial is the only 100 per cent fully owned Canadian solar panel manufacturer in the world," remarks Centennial Global Technology. "We are North America's first and largest manufacturer of custom high-quality, high performance photovoltaic solar panels and inverters and the only manufacturer in the world using four different cell technologies."

The company's operations are based in Montreal, Quebec. Founded in 2003 as Centennial Solar, the company specialized in the sale of solar PV panels to OEM customers. By 2004, the company established its own production facility for manufacturing of PV solar panels. The facility manufactures PV solar panels using four different technologies. Their main production of solar panels ranges from 5W to 240W and are IEC61215 and IEC61730 Certified and some models are UL1703 certified. The company exports regularly to over 22 countries globally throughout Europe, Asian, Africa, Australia, North and South America.

Centennial Global Technology Inc. are initially leasing 20,000 square feet of manufacturing space on St. Remy Place. Their Kingston operations will be fully functional by the end of 2010. The company intends to immediately hire up to ten employees with further recruitment plans in 2011.
