The Center for Dental Health Announces New Online Oral Health Resource for Antioch Patients

ANTIOCH, TN--(Marketwire - Apr 15, 2012) - The Center for Dental Health in Antioch, TN announced that the practice has launched a new website to help educate patients about oral health care. The Antioch dentist offers comprehensive dental services, including teeth whitening, cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, dentures and veneers. The new website, http://thecenterfordentalhealth.com/, features tips for at-home dental care, 3D dental videos, a blog and "Patient Education" library. Individuals may also sign up for the practice's bi-weekly e-newsletter, which includes information on the latest dental procedure and tips for keeping teeth and gums healthy.

Antioch dentist Dr. Jason White is making it easier for Tennessee residents to enjoy a bright, healthy smile. Dr. White has launched a new website for patients to learn more about dental care as well as the practice. "Everyone wants a healthy smile and pearly whites," said Dr. White. "Many adults, however, don't realize that the key to a healthy smile is more than the latest drugstore teeth whitening kits. Diligent, at-home care and healthy habits make a difference. Our new website is dedicated to helping individuals learn good oral hygiene, so they can prevent problems like periodontal disease and tooth decay in the first place."

The "Patient Education" library includes information for at-home care, featuring 3D videos demonstrating proper flossing and brushing technique. The videos also help explain the process of teeth decay and periodontal disease, along with how patients reduce their risk for oral health problems.

"Regular dental care visits really do make a difference," said Dr. White. "The videos do a great job of showing how scaling and removing tartar buildup, for example, can help prevent periodontal disease. Patients often tell me that they simply forget to floss. Once a patient views these videos, however, the potential side effects of NOT flossing -- including tooth decay and gum disease -- will convince even the most forgetful people to make flossing a regular habit!"

The "Patient Education" library also includes information on common dental care procedures, such as crowns and caps, and cosmetic dentistry. Individuals who visit the website may also learn more about popular procedures at the dental clinic, including teeth whitening.

"A visit to the dentist can be extremely stressful for some patients," said Dr. White. "The Patient Library is designed to ease this anxiety by providing detailed descriptions, along with information videos, for common procedures performed at our dental clinic. We don't believe in surprises! We want every patient to feel comfortable and relaxed prior to any cosmetic dentistry procedure."

In an effort to help anxious patients relax, the practice also provides sedation dentistry. Patients undergoing oral surgery procedures like a root canal may opt to be mildly sedated during the operation. Patients will still be awake, but will feel relaxed and calm. More information about sedation dentistry is available on the website.

Individuals can stay up to date on the latest news at the dental clinic, as well as receive regular oral health tips by signing up for the practice's e-newsletter.

Prospective patients may also use the website's online appointment request form to schedule a visit with the Antioch dentist.
