Central Illinois Bank Appoints Senior Executive

PEORIA, IL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 12, 2005 -- Central Illinois Bank, an Illinois chartered bank and wholly owned subsidiary of CIB Marine Bancshares, Inc., recently named Michael Dexter as Senior Vice President and Commercial Lender for the metropolitan Peoria market. Mike comes to Central Illinois Bank with over fifteen years experience in commercial banking.

Prior to joining Central Illinois Bank, Mike served for five years as Community Bank President of First Bank, Peoria, where he was responsible for a sizeable commercial loan portfolio, and supervising the lending and marketing activities of four Peoria area branches. Mike was also employed as Vice President of The Kewanee Bank, a branch of State Bank of Toulon, from 1997 to 2000, where he gained valuable experience in management and commercial banking. From 1989 to 1997, Mike served as a Bank Examiner with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, supervising and performing examinations of financial institutions, with an emphasis on the analysis of bank loan portfolios, capital and earnings positions, and compliance with federal and state banking laws. Mike graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bradley University with a B.S. in Business Management and Administration. In addition, Mike is a graduate of the Peoria Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership School and Bradley University's Building Leaders program.

A lifelong resident of the Peoria area, Mike is actively involved in many community organizations including serving as President elect of the Downtown Peoria Kiwanis club, Vice President of the Central Illinois Bradley Alumni Chapter, and Board Chairman of Peoria Youth Farm, a home for troubled teens. In 2004, he was also named one of Peoria's Top 40 Leaders Under 40.
