What
CentraLite will be showcasing a collection of new and existing connected products at their booth on the show floor: new 3-Series Smart Garage System and patent-pending 3-Series Smart Switch which will be available in stores via partner service providers in early 2015.

  • The 3-Series Smart Garage System. This Smart Garage System gives users an unprecedented level of automated control to their garage door openers. The Smart Garage Controller enables users to remotely raise/lower the garage door as well as turn on/off built-in garage door lights (optional). The Smart Garage Sensor (optional) reports if the door is opened or closed and even what level the door is at if open. With onboard ZigBee HA 1.2 integration, the 3-Series Smart Garage System can trigger other devices in the connected home such as lighting, HVAC, or stereo systems, and even home appliances like coffee makers or curling irons. Users will be able to send and receive text notifications or event alerts depending on the service platform they decide to use. Two of the most common use case scenarios include home break-in alerts when the garage door is opened manually without activating the motor (one in ten home break-ins are through garages), and automating safer and easier package deliveries where users remotely command the garage door to open to a few feet around time of delivery, then utilize a separate motion sensor to trigger the garage door to close after delivery. The CentraLite 3-Series Smart Garage System is expected to retail for approximately $129.

  • The 3-Series Smart Switch. This new, patent-pending Smart Switch enables users a new level of control for ZigBee lighting and home automation devices. The Smart Switch can be installed over an existing light switch to provide wireless control of ZigBee-compatible smart bulbs and devices without the need for any wiring. Powered by a coin cell battery, the Smart Switch can be installed in minutes to lockout the existing switch (leaving it in an "always-on" position) and features two programmable buttons that can be used to control on/off or dimming of lights, scenes. It also works with more than just light bulbs. It can be used to control a large range of ZigBee devices such as garage door openers, door locks, thermostats and others. The Smart Switch can be installed on nearly any surface, including switch plates, bare walls, cabinets and desktops and is expected to retail for less than $40.

"We're looking forward to showing off CentraLite's latest innovations for the connected home at the International CES to kick off an exciting 2015. After being in the industry for over 17 years, it's rewarding to see home automation finally coming to fruition and mass adoption," said Jimmy Busby, CEO of CentraLite Systems. "We believe what consumers want are smarter everyday devices, not products that take an engineering level of expertise to control and manage. CentraLite is and has always been at the forefront of creating the most sophisticated, yet reliable and easy-to-use devices to enable a connected world."
